The Kingfisher - River Tame

£40 adults and £25 U/18

Your chosen craft. A Buoyancy aid, paddle and helmet. waterproof containers/bag for valuables/ snacks. You will need to meet us in the car park at the bottom of Reddish Vale / Tiviot Way/ Opposite Stockport Tesco. We will then transport you to the starting point. You will then be able to leave straight away at the end of the session.

WE DO NOT PROVIDE WETSUITS - WE CAN HIRE ONES TO YOU FOR £5...they are not a guaranteed fit and you need to wear swimming costumes underneath.

This is our next step up from the River Mersey but is still suitable for novices ( but probably enjoyed more by those who have had a trip down the Mersey). This trip, by its nature, is GUIDED by us to ensure safety, on either Sit on Top kayaks or traditional canoe.

Minimum 8 years and 12 years to go in a Single Sit on Top.

THIS TRIP MAY AT TIME FOR YOU TO GET OUT OF YOUR CRAFT AND INTO THE RIVER TO GET AROUND UNFORSEEN OBSTACLES OR IF VERY LOW.

The trip goes ahead in wet weather but not "very wet". We would discuss with you. The trip is also subject to a suitable river level.

We will meet at the bottom of Reddish Vale Country Park in Stockport. Aim to get there 10 mins before the agreed meeting. The aim is to be at the finish between 3 to 3.5hrs from when we meet. Times are subject to the size and ability of group and the conditions of the river on the day. THERE ARE NO TOILETS AT THE START OR END LOCATIONS. There is the opportunity for a toilet stop half way through the trip. ( there is a public toilet at Stockport Tesco)
