The Great Outdoors in Greater Manchester

Based in Stockport by the banks of the River Mersey we are passionate about the outdoors:  our mission is to introduce people of all ages and backgrounds to adventurous activities in Greater Manchester. Since 2009 we have been providing canoe trips on the River Mersey, outdoor activity days for schools, multi activity holiday clubs, birthday parties for children and families, we see lots of business groups and literally thousands of young people involved in local youth organizations such as Girl Guides and Scouts.

Your first steps into adventurous activities should be challenging but safe. We have an Adventurous Activities Licence (AALS) that enables us to work for Schools and Youth Groups. We are a British Canoeing Deliver Partner. We employ great mix of staff who hold the relevant leadership and coaching qualifications and First Aid certificates. As well as our established team of instructors we nurture young adult instructors and young leaders ( many who have been participating with us for years in different groups).
